Safari 3 beta out, available for Windows

Apple has changed the outlook of their website, now it’s no more the old-fashion apple GUI, now it has a glimpse of a new Mac OS X Leopard. With this update, Apple released beta version of their popular Safari browser. Among many other new features and add-ons, Safari is now available for Windows users also. This is a direct hit to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

I have tried Safari on Windows, I must say I’m quite impressed. Mani from Daily dose of Internet is not really satisfied with the Safari on Windows.Safari 3 Public Beta

I am a quite a fan of almost all Apple products, however I own nothing from Apple(will change in near future!). As a matter of fact I use Gentoo Linux on my laptop. So, I’m a Firefox user.

Mani blogged on how to convert Firefox to Safari in 3 steps, but then if you don’t like Safari why make Firefox Safari?

And by the way, did you watch or listen Steve Jobs and Bill Gates at D5?

I installed it this morning, and so far I’m fairly impressed. Although I’m sticking with Firefox, I only downloaded it for testing websites, I don’t have a Mac.

i think ill use it only to take screenshot. browser itself looks cool but sites in Safari dont: http://www.behance.com/Featured/Articles/Tip-Share-To-Make-Ideas-Happen/5549
    “Arial bold” looks too bold.

Headers of New York Times are not seen in safari.

    Hi Arstan,

I too love Apple products for its usability and power. But safari(for windows) was a disappointment.

I thought converting my fav browser to Safari would be a cool idea. :D

    Cheers!

I think it’s early to say that, that’s why it’s called public beta, let’s hope they will learn from their mistakes and also listen to the public releasing a better safari in their stable build.
