Easy Gmail support in Thunderbird 2
I have posted that Mozilla has released a new version of Thunderbird. Now, among many new features it gives very easy access to your Gmail. Google due to security and other reasons have changed the default POP3 and SMTP ports with encryptions supported. The setup of Gmail in E-Mail clients always has been difficult, with the new version of Thunderbird, this is not true anymore!
With this new feature many people can make good out of Gmail with more then 2GB space and POP3 access with Thunderbird.
Here’s the screenshot of that:

The best free - open source E-Mail Client
Yes that’s definitely true to me! I love Thunderbird, I started using it back in 2005 and still having gone through a lot of clients I love it. Why?
- It is available in cross platform, be it Linux, BSDs, Mac OS X and Windows
- It is meant to deal with E-Mails at first, unlike some other clients where they boast they have so much of stuff. My point is - it needs to get my mails, order them by folders(now tagging also!) and send out emails.
- It lightweight compared to Evolution and not too much thin as in Claws
- It supports all kind of features of a decent client from RSS subscriptions to rendering HTML mails.
- Support for multiple accounts, managing single SMTP or otherwise for each account different SMTP server settings.

- Now it picks colors in HTML, RGB, Delphi, C++, VB codes
- Support for ACT and ACO formats for exporting colors to Adobe Photoshop

- Minimo - Mozilla Firefox for mobile
- Putty - Pocket PuTTY, yes I can connect to my linux servers and do my work with my phone!
- Opera - Opera for Mobile, trial version - I think it is much better the mobile IE and Firefox mobile. They have more experience in building browsers for such and other devices.
- Spb Shell - Screen customizer
- PocketIslam - This software contains Holy Quran in English, Hadith in English, Prayer table, Prayer schedule, Hijri Calendar and Hijri to Georgian conversion.
Here’s the list of softwares I would like to install:
- Linux (!) - yes I would love to try Linux on this device.
- Some sort of voice recording software. It needs to be saving recordings as mp3/wav
- A better E-Mail client
- FTP client - just basic needs, no GUI needed. Is it there already?
- Better music/media player
If you are a PDA phone user please do share your experiences and softwares used.
